Callie Cheer

Callie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (subtype M7) on September 5th, 2011, at just 2 years old. Immediately Callie began an intense, inpatient chemotherapy regimen at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta that would last for 6 months. Thankfully the chemo was a success and Callie reached remission after just her first treatment. Callie still has extensive yearly check ups and will face a life time of testing due to the possible side effects of the extremely strong chemotherapy she endured. Even though Callie has been faced with this terrible disease she never let it defeat her! She is active in cheerleading, dance, tumbling , basketball and is always up for a challenge! Callie is one of the bravest, smartest little girls there is and she is an inspiration to everyone she meets!
